Corporate Presentation Coaching
If First Impressions with an individual are critical - how important do you think a First Impression is when you're in front of an audience, representing yourself or company? It can easily be the difference between making the deal or breaking it. There is nothing more boring than watching someone, stiff as a board, behind the podium, reading verbatim from a prepared script: "Word, word, word.....word." Ugh. Whenever I see that, I can't wait for my cell phone to go off - anything to give me an excuse to leave the room! Truthfully, public speaking is quite easy to do and doesn't have to be so boring. The problem is, many people are terrified of speaking in public, whether the group is large or small. Also true is the fact that rarely anyone takes the initiative to improve themselves in this regard. I've found out that people in general already possess the the various skills they need to engage an audience, big or small. Putting those skills to practical use and making them slighly "larger" in front of an audience is the challenge! Some people will make claims like: "I'll transform you into an amazing communicator....!" These coaches are stroking their ego. The fact is - the coach doesn't do the transforming - you do. The difference between a good (speaking) coach and a bad one is how effectively they can impart the knowledge to you, so it makes sense and is ultimately useful for you in the field. Ya gotta take it with you...... It's not a big secret. I know how to impart my knowledge, make people comfortable with the training and know how to have fun! I've also personally spoken at hundreds of different events, from 50,000 people to 5. I also have techniques culled from my experience in theater that I pass along as well. That being said, I've helped countless people (including big, huge, important Corporate Executives whom I can't name because they don't want anyone to know they took coaching....!) become effective, engaging communicators with my unique coaching methods, which include, among other things: I prefer my sessions to be one-on-one (far more effective), but I will do groups as well.
